Ok, Christmas is just around the corner. The weather appears to have picked up a bit (colder, some sun, a few days without rain etc). Do I dare plan a few walks and dare I contemplate an overnighter sometime around the Christmas break? I am quite looking forward to Christmas for a variety of reasons. To be with, and to spoil, my kids. To have a break from what is a really busy and stressful job. Also to get out and about in the wilds if even for just one day. Could be a good one this year.
I have a feeling in my water…..
It was stunning weather in Snowdonia today, so cold my eyebrows have become paralysed. Btw Dave you have not yet claimed your prize, if you don’t want it I will offer it to the runner up………..
um…sorry…been in Chrimbo mode….not been surfing the blogs much recently!
🙂
Weather was fab all weekend in west of Scotland. I had a spectacular wildcamp on a Munro summit and then ran into PTC, TBW and Ayrshire Tiger and Iain Gallagher this afternoon to hear about their adventures!
It seems eveyone north of the border was oot! I want weather windows like this more often.
Excellent! Pleased that you had decent weather…it really can make all the difference.
So, you ran into that bunch of reprobates then? 🙂
Everyone making hay at the same time and little wonder when the weather has been so pish for what seems like forever recently.
Its good to get out
My post Christmas walk is planned, no matter what the weather. So my advice is plan and then go …
this is true Roger. Maybe I’ll just pick a day and stick to it come hell or high water…
