Happy New Year Indeed
Took my son out today to the cinema to watch Avatar. Left the girlies at home to do girly things. For one reason or another I do believe this year will be a defining one. For once I find myself introspective about the year ahead rather than just freewheeling into it in my normal way. I guess that’s a consequence of the year behind me and an awareness of the passage of time. I have hopes and aspirations for this year probably more so than ever.
I want to spend more time with my family but I also want to spend more time out in the hills. I want to grow up a bit more and yet want to be a little more laid back. I guess the difference for me this year is recognising that achieving a balance will be the most important thing.
I think it will be an interesting year

The kids may one day like going wildcamping but the wife is a definite no……!
Avatar is an excellent film and thoroughly enjoyed it
Wifes and girlfriends seem to be not liking the wildcamping thingy too much, same here.
I might go and see Avatar finally this Saturday, in 3D. Hopefully those 3D goggles will be good!
yes, it is a shame about the wife but there again its a very personal pleasure so sometimes its best to wildcamp alone 🙂
The 3D was great but I had to wear the glasses on top of my normal glasses!
