Back from Cornwall…

Just a quick post to say that we are back from a weeks camping in Cornwall. To say it was one of our most enjoyable trips would be an understatement. The weather, apart from one day, was great. The campsite was one of the best we have ever visited (and I’ll do a campsite write up in another post) and the area we stayed in was just brilliant.

We stopped at Penrose campsite (http://www.campingcornwall.net/)ย which is on the outskirts of Porthleven. We had a pitch that overlooked the sea and a massive field and space for the kids to run around in. From this base we were able to visit old time favourites of ours such as the Lizard and St Ives as well as new ones. The weather was kind and we were able to go for walks and beach days and spent every last minute of everday doing something. Well, actually we were still able to take a few hours of power down time lounging in our seats watching the kids play each evening.

A really good trip all in all and one we hope to repeat next year. Full write up to follow…

Great part of the country, but I’m biased because my parents were born there ๐Ÿ˜‰

We spent our honeymoon travelling through Cornwall and in my mind it’ll always be a totally magical place ^-^ shame about the dog & van ban on the site you visited but looking forward to reading about it all the same!

      Hello Mrs B.

There is no dog ban at the site and there were plenty during our visit. Even part of the nearby beach area is dog friendly. Also there were caravans and camper vans on site whilst we visited so not sure of any restrictions that way.
I guess a quick phone call if in doubt
It is a really great area and I will get round to writing it up soon ๐Ÿ™‚
