I need to camp and I need to camp now!

New job, lots of travel, new pup and son no.1 at comp for his 1st year have effectively put paid to any chance of camping in the past 2 months. I have had to effectively put on hold any concrete plans for a camp this side of Christmas as well. The downside is most definitely that I am getting itchy for a camp. I mean I am doing lots of walks but its not the same as a wildcamp. What makes things worse is that the past 4 weekends have been fabulous in terms of weather. Cold, crisp, sunny and brilliant visibility.

I just want a night away this side of Christmas. If I am very good, very lucky or both.

Please?

I hear you man ^_^ with a broken boiler, an ageing dog, a new bathroom on the horizon and a friend’s wedding to splash out on our van is also not taking us to all these fabulous places we dream about. Hang in there…….the new year is just around the corner ^_^

I know how you feel. Stranded at work too, but once this project’s done I’m going on a massive camping bender.

I’m not even going to list all my excuses they are depressing, I have managed only one bivvy this year and that was a rushed job, barely enough time to savor it. I too am hoping the new year will be a bit more settled.
