No not that kind of clearout….a kit and unwanted items clearout. I suddenly realised with changing priorities and a fullish kit cupboard and raided loft I have plenty of things I dont use and can be sold to fund new projects. So a fair amount of surplus outdoor kit has either been sold or earmarked for selling. Also bits and pieces of technology and hobby stuff are also in the process of going. The old sell to buy motto has been re-emphasised with a vengeance for the next few months.
Two reasons:
1. I want an upgraded bike next year for the spring (I’ve done 3500 miles on my current one and its beginning to show!) and I certainly cant afford it without saving up.
2. Christmas is round the corner and there are a few things I really want to get for the kids.
Not sure if I will be able to hit the full (kids xmas presents + bike) target by next spring but at least I have a target π
Must be the time for new bike dreaming. I’ve just started saving for a new bike too. Mine is 17 years old and while I love it, I am ready for something new π
17 years! Thats not a bad return on your investment π I did have a bike for 20years (Claude Butler) until very recently
This latest bike is by contrast only a year old but very well used!
